“The Alamo is undoubtedly one of the most legendary spots in Texas, famed for the incredible role it assumed during the Texas Revolution. Built as the city’s first mission in 1718, this edifice now serves as a museum, and is home to interpretive exhibits and artifacts.” San Antonio’s Riverwalk is known as one of Texas’ most popular tourist attractions. In addition to breathtaking views and excellent shopping, the Riverwalk is home to some of San Antonio’s finest restaurants.

King Ranch, a National Historic Landmark, is recognized as the birthplace of the American ranching industry. Founded by Captain Richard King in 1853, King Ranch developed the Santa Gertrudis breed of cattle and produced the first registered Quarter Horse. Today, King Ranch sprawls across 850,000 acres of South Texas, and is the home of 60,000 cattle and 300 Quarter Horses.

Naval Air Station Corpus Christi is the home of CNATRA / Chief of Naval Air Training https://www.cnatra.navy.mil/index.htm , USCG Sector Corpus Christi, and CCAD / Corpus Christi Army Depot. This tour will take you to an NASCC Air Wing, Simulators and on to the Flight Line. A great tour to help get you prepared to celebrate Naval Aviation’s 100th Anniversary in 2010 back in your own councils. Other Base Commands will be include in the tour.

The USS LEXINGTON, CV-16, is a World War II-vintage aircraft carrier. Commissioned in 1943, she served the United States longer and set more records than any other carrier in the history of naval aviation.
